Cattle Show Rules

NO ANIMAL WILL BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE THE TRAILER WITHOUT A CCIA RFID TAG IN ITS EAR

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING YOUR OWN STRAW ** NO STRAW WILL BE PROVIDED.

All cattle must be vaccinated for BVD. Exhibitor must be able to show Veterinarian Certificate as proof of current vaccination.

Please note the Rules Governing the Perth Fair. They pertain to all classes. Please read them carefully

​

  1. In the case of Purebred Livestock the pedigrees must be included on the entry form. If not, prizes will not be awarded.

  2. Registration Papers should be through for animals and Transfers must be in the owner’s name.

  3. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: All animals must be free from Mange, Ringworm and Pink Eye. A Veterinarian will be on hand to inspect every animal and will reject any that exhibit symptoms of infectious disease.

  4. All animals will be called into the ring for examination by the Directors in charge or Judges Owners or attendants must be prepared to bring them out when called for, or forfeit claim to any premiums awarded to them.

  5. ALL ANIMALS EXHIBITED MUST REMAIN ON THE GROUNDS UNTIL 4:30 p.m. ON THE DAY THEY ARE SHOWING.

  6. Substitute entries will be allowed to the same number of animals.

  7. Trucks must vacate the loading and tie-up areas immediately after unloading and park in designated areas only.

  8. All entries must be accompanied by policy number and name of insurance Company that provides coverage for entries by a liability insurance policy, valid and current for the dates of the show. Proof of insurance must be available on the day of show at the cattle show office.

  9. To be eligible for full prize money, each breed must have at least three exhibitors and a minimum of twenty-four entries per class AND THREE ENTRIES PER SECTION. Where a breed does not fulfill these criteria, 50% of prize money will be paid. A cow and a calf are a unit and considered one entry. See beef section for number of animals.

  10. All registered Beef or Dairy Cattle whether owned by one person or more than one person (individually or jointly) maintained on one farm or breeding unit is considered to be the production of one farm or breeding unit. In each classification where the same or common interests are involved in more than one breeding operation, such operations are considered as one breeding unit.
