Horse Show Rules

Note: **STALLIONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE IN ANY CHILDREN'S CLASSES**

Please note the Rules Governing the Perth Fair. They apply to all classes. Please read them carefully.

1. Paper entries must be legible (printed or typed) - one prize money cheque will be issued per entry
form.
2. All entries must be made on an official entry form.
3. An entry form for EACH show is required.
4. Entry forms to be completed with full address and telephone number. No prize will be awarded if an
address is incomplete.
5. Entries can be dropped at the office, or emailed, or submitted online via http://www.assistexpo.ca/perthfair
6. Entry fees payable PRIOR to show where required or prize money may be forfeited.
7. LATE ENTRIES: Fair office staff will not accept entries after September 4th, 2026. A late entry fee of
$20.00 may be charged at the discretion of the Horse Show Director or Show Secretary.
8. RING NUMBERS: Are assigned by office to the HORSE - prize money is paid to the Horse whose number appears on judge sheets, do not change numbers or prize money could be forfeited.
9. Proof of registration must be available.
10. PROFESSIONAL SHOWMANSHIP IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. Abuse of horses on fairground property is strictly prohibited.
11. Due to time restrictions, show proceeds rain or shine. Perth & District Agricultural Society will have
the final say on the show.
13. Helmets are required for riders under the age of18 and recommended for all riders regardless of age.
