Welcome to the Perth Fair Website
Thanks to all of the volunteers, exhibitors, vendors, sponsors, Robertson Amusements and all those who attended the 2013 Perth Fair!
The Perth Fair had a great weekend. We value your input, comments and suggestions as we look forward to planning the 169th Perth Fair. See you in 2014!!
I am very proud to be welcoming you to the Perth Fair this year. For 168 years, the Perth Fair members and volunteers have been dedicating themselves to promoting agriculture, community involvement and good times. I have enjoyed the Fair since I was a young girl, and I am very pleased to be able to work with this group of folks, and I believe that we who serve now have the same desire and future goals as those who have served in the past: To keep the Perth Fair alive and healthy, while bringing good, wholesome entertainment to our town and country.
Today’s fairs are evolving and trying to keep up with this ever changing, high tech world...and this is true for our great fair as well. But all the while, we want to keep the agricultural roots that make us strong, and keep this country together and healthy. Every year there are changes to our lineup and events, as we try to keep up with the ever changing demands of society.
Our Homecraft theme this year is “You’ve Got To Have Heart”, and while we will enjoy many talented exhibits with a fun Valentine theme, I would like to put forth an additional idea to all those who enjoy the Fair; lets cultivate a healthy Heart for our Fair, so that the body will continue to grow and be strong! This can be achieved by putting healthy ‘food’, or time, energy and resources in to it. Are you wanting to become more involved in your community? I invite you to join our organization, everyone has a gift that can be used to better this world – start local!
Volunteers are undeniably the core of any organization, and the Perth Fair is blessed with many, many hardworking people who help to make our very busy fair successful. Some give much time, and some give a small portion of their busy schedules, but all are appreciated, and I hope that you will take time to thank them as you encounter them on the fairgrounds, and throughout the community.
I also hope that you take time to tour the whole fairgrounds while you visit us, as there are SO many activities going on, and we value your feedback on what was entertaining, educational and even ideas on what could be added or taken away in future years. We are currently working on developing short and long-term goals for our fair to build on what we have and ensure strong and successful events in the future. Your input is valued!
So get growing, baking, sewing, carving, creating, feeding and training!! See you at the Perth Fair!
